2009 Pacific Rose Bowl Festival 11-15 November 2009

The wonderful Pacific Rose Bowl Festival will be happening again this Spring. This festival incorporates an internationally recognised rose trial to determine the New Zealand Rose of the Year. Bushes of the best new roses from around the world, grown in the Rogers Rose Garden, contest the Pacific Rose Bowl Trophy. Judging is by popular vote of the general public and school groups get involved for the "Children's Choice Award".

This year the festival celebrates New Zealand's relationship with Japan. Events will include the famous WaiTaiko Drummers performing and a unique opportunity to participate in a hands on Japanese drumming workshop.

The 2009 Pacific Rose Bowl Festival promises to be a full and surprising sensory experience including Art, Opera, Food ,and Wine - and of course acres and acres of divine Roses...and this year the Pacific Rose Bowl Festival will coincide with the National Rose Show, so the Gardens will literally be buzzing with activity - don't miss it!
